EXPERT PERSPECTIVES — Within the hours after Donald Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 presidential election, we turned to our community of consultants for reflections on the information, and what it could portend for nationwide and world safety points.
Not surprisingly, given the range of views and backgrounds throughout the Cipher Transient community, we heard a variety of views: reflections on coverage in direction of China, Russia, Ukraine, Iran and the broader Center East; pleas for better consideration to protection industrial coverage, cyber safety, and longstanding U.S. alliances in Europe and Asia; and past nationwide safety insurance policies, a number of consultants pressured the significance of choosing a robust nationwide safety workforce – a selected problem given what number of former nationwide safety officers had been overtly essential of Trump through the marketing campaign.
