Olivia Rodrigo threw it again to the ’80s this weekend to jam out with a brand new wave legend.
Throughout her Saturday efficiency at Governors Ball in New York Metropolis, the 3x Grammy winner was joined onstage by Speaking Heads frontman David Byrne for a shock efficiency of the band’s 1983 single ‘Burning Down the Home’ for the gang at Flushing Meadows—Corona Park.
The British rocker matched Rodrigo’s pink efficiency look in a pair of matching overalls as they playfully re-enacted the choreography to the tune.
Byrne’s shock look comes after the Speaking Heads had been launched to a brand new technology of followers with A24‘s fortieth anniversary re-release of their 1984 live performance movie Cease Making Sense, which grossed greater than $5 million domestically after a restricted run in 2023.
Rodrigo’s Governors Ball gig comes amid her ongoing Guts World Tour, which kicked off in February 2024 and subsequent stops at Marlay Park in Dublin, Eire on June 24.
